At present, the types of lens materials can be roughly divided into glass lens materials, resin lens materials, crystal lens materials, PC lens materials, MR lens materials, etc. Different materials of lenses are used for different purposes due to their advantages and disadvantages.

1. Glass has the best wear resistance, but it is fragile and the glass lenses are heavy, making it uncomfortable to wear. So now there are very few people who use it, and they usually choose other lenses to replace it.

2. Resin lens: Resin lens is an optical lens made of resin as the material. Lightweight and wear-resistant, with a light transmittance of up to 98% after coating, strong impact resistance, and a wide range of photometric options, it can meet the general needs of the eyes. Due to its unique chemical structure and its ability to be used as a latex paint and adhesive, it is highly valued.

3. Crystal lenses: The biggest advantage of crystals is their high hardness, making them less prone to wear and tear. Crystal lenses were popular in the 1920s and 1930s, and the lenses made from them were durable but very expensive.

4. PC lenses: PC lenses, also known as "space lenses" or "world lenses", chemically named polycarbonate, are thermoplastic materials. PC lenses have advantages such as light weight, high impact strength, high hardness, high refractive index, outstanding mechanical function, good thermoplastic properties, excellent electrical insulation function, and no environmental pollution. They are also specialized driver lenses, but they are more prone to corrosion.

5. MR lenses: MR lenses are the high refractive index lens material with the most balanced performance indicators, especially suitable for producing eyeglass lenses. Lenses are lightweight, visually clear, have high pressure resistance, and are not easily damaged. Most importantly, compared to ordinary lenses, they are less prone to yellowing, remain clear and bright for a long time, and have excellent corrosion resistance.
